Frances "Frankie" Pannell Roop, 88, passed away at her home in Radford on Sunday, May 12, 2019 with her family by her side. She was a member of the Radford Worship Center and retired as a beautician at the age of 80. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Pearl Pannell; husband of 67 years, Donald W. Roop; sisters, Irene Richards, Earnestine Harris and Evelyn Richards; brother, Lacy Pannell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wes and Elaine Roop of Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Tony Viars of Radford, and Karen and Steve Bernier of Farmville; 7 grandsons; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. with Dr. Hal Adams officiating.
