Fern Bowers White, 89, of Radford, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her daughters house in Jasper, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Radford and retired cashier at Family Dollar. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Nellie Bowers; her husband, Jessie Byron "J.B." White; granddaughter, Diana Dingess; and great grandson, David Dingess, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Cheryl White Orr of Jasper, Ga.; granddaughters, Teresa Jordan of Canton, Ga. and Kimberly Dawn Orr of Jasper, Ga.; great grandchildren, Jessica Jordan, Savannah Jordan, Faith Jordan, Amber Dingess and Cheyanne Dingess; great great grandchildren, Aumani and Makai; and brother, Danny Bowers of Dublin. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Dr. Paul Lane officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 215 Third Ave., Radford, VA 24141.
