Evelyn Agee Smith, 91, of Radford, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014. She was born in Radford on June 16, 1923, daughter of the late Blanche and Ophus Agee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie H. Smith and brother, William R. Agee. She was an active and loyal member of Morgan's Chapel United Methodist Church. Surviving Evelyn are her children, Rebecca Linkous of Moyock, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Freddie and Dana Smith of Fairlawn; three grandchildren, Chris (Betsy) Linkous of Roanoke, Jonna (Jared) Bobzien of Moyock, NC, and Jeffrey Smith of Fairlawn; and two great-grandchildren, Ross and Ryan Bobzien. Visitation will be held at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford on Sunday, November 9, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm with the funeral to begin at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Morgan's Chapel UMC Lord's Acre Fund, C/O Pam Warden, 270 Apple Drive, Pearisburg, VA 24134.
