Ethel Virginia Shrader Nunley, 92, of Radford, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017. She was a longtime member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she loved her pastor Jerry Gibson and enjoyed singing gospel songs. She also loved a good yard sale. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Nunley; her parents, Leftridge and Eliza Jane Shrader; son, Bobby Ray Nunley; sisters, Nannie Bell Aliff and Irene Shrader; and brother, Herman Shrader. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Rena Nunley, missionaries in Brazil, and Ronnie and Rita Nunley of Christiansburg; daughters, Linda F. Nunley of Christiansburg, and Brenda N. Kittinger of Riner; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren; sisters, Eva Asbury, Hazel Collins and Mary Lee Taylor; brother and sister-in-law, Dewey and Shirley Shrader; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson, Johnny Lee Nunley and Pastor James Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday evening at the church.
