Ethel Mae Sutphin Fizer, 88, of Radford, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, William McKinley and Mary Etta Spaulding Sutphin; her loving husband of 46 years, Vernon Walter Fizer; and her sons, George "Peanut" Fizer, Leon Fizer, Gene Fizer, and Curtis Fizer. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mason "Button" and Darlene Fizer; daughter-in-law, Pam Fizer; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Medi Hospice for their loving care to Ethel. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Jube Burke, Melvin Brammer and Robbie Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg.
