Ethel Vivian Walker Eaves, 88, of Radford, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and retired from Radford University in housekeeping. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Viola Walker; her husband, James Oakley Eaves; son, Oakley Tyrone Eaves; brothers, Dr. Sidney Walker and Kenneth Walker; and sister, Elaine Jenkins. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie A. and William Price of Radford; grandchildren, Khristi E. Turner of Buena Vista, Heather Rachel Price of Radford and Shana Eaves of Radford; 3 great and 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Constance Crisp of Richmond; brother, Robert Walker of Seabrook, Md.; special family friends, Melissa Webb, Jacqueline Taylor and Sarah Carter; and special canine companion, Bear. The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Judy, Intrepid Hospice, and Radford Health and Rehab for all the loving care provided to the family. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Barbara Doyle officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford.
