Eric Landon Cochran, 45, of Hillsville, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lewis Cochran; and sister, Phyllis Yvonne Cochran-Saunders. Survivors include his mother, Margaret Elizabeth Graves Cochran; sister, Linda Cochran-Welch; brother, Michael "Jason" Cochran; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eric had a tenacious spirit and curiosity about him that inspires us to embrace lifes gifts and challenges. Despite the many obstacles he faced, he experienced a full life supported by the unwavering love and dedication of his family, caretakers and friends. Whether taking field trips and learning with his teachers and cottage mates or delighting in his moms homemade peach cobbler and sweet tea, Erics warm smile often communicated what he could not share in words. His sweet spirit was a gift to all who know him. We take comfort in knowing Eric now rests in the loving care of our Creator, and that one day we will be reunited with him in joy and perfect health. The family would like to thank the staff at Good Neighbors for all the loving care they gave Eric. Memorial services will be private.
