Emily Lucille Wright, 74, of Dumfries, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. She was retired from Pattie Elementary School in Dumfries where she taught 2nd grade for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Oliver Wright. Survivors include her mother, Sylvia Wright of Radford; brother and sister-in-law, Russ and Jeanne Wright; nieces, Sarah and Allison; nephew, Brian; grandnieces, Julianna, Gaiya and Faye; grand nephew, Jayden; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022, at the Presbyterian Church of Radford. Services will begin at 12 p.m. with Chaplain Robin Williamson and Pastor Steve Willis officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Radford.
