Emeline Marie Sartoris, 89, of Budd Lake, NJ passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Beverwyck House of Merry Heart in Parsipanny, NJ. Emeline was born on May 7, 1934 in Plainfield, NJ to the late Theodore Tiedemann and Marie Tiedemann (Kaul). She was an only child. Emeline was a graduate of Plainfield High School, Class of 1953. She married the love of her life, Edward Lee Sartoris on August 31, 1968. They celebrated 45 years of marriage prior to his passing on April 26, 2014. Together they have 3 children, sons Warren Sartoris and Robert Sartoris of Budd Lake, NJ and daughter Amy Sartoris-Kietrys, her husband Michael Kietrys, her grandson John Kietrys and granddaughter Casey Kietrys, all of Christiansburg, VA. In her earlier years, Emeline worked as a secretary at Lyons VA Hospital and at Johnson and Johnson prior to retiring to become a full time home maker. Emeline was a member of St. Judes Catholic Church in Budd Lake, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 Emeline will be laid to rest with her husband Edward Lee Sartoris at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 3:00 PM.
