Elva McCoy Semones, 81, of Dublin, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012. She was a member of Parrott Church of God and retired from RAAP. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years in April of 2011, Otha Early Semones and her parents, Raymond C. and Mary Etta Page McCoy. Survivors include her son, Raymond Hamilton of Fairlawn; daughter and son-in-law, Cissy and Dennis Bane of Pulaski; seven sisters, Geraldine Foley of Ohio, Wanda Price of Christiansburg, Mayola Duncan of Floyd, Isabelle Graves of Blacksburg, Nancy Ritter and Bettie Gravley, both of Parrott, and Dorothy Nester of Fairlawn; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Kenneth Alley and Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Parrott Church of God. The Semones family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
