Ellis Homz Melvin Goodman, 60 of Dublin, passed away Friday, June 23, 2006 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Charlie Hugh Goodman. He was a Manager of Wilco/Hess service station in Fairlawn. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Doris Davis Goodman of Dublin; daughter, Sharron Waddell of Fairlawn; son Michael Ellis Goodman of Dublin; mother, Anna Lee Marshall Goodman of Dublin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Edna Goodman of Louisiana; Thomas and Lana Goodman of Dublin; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Gene Keen of Dublin; Lois and James Prescott of Dublin; three special pets, Kitsy, Jumper, and Tiger. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dublin Church of God with Rev. Michael Collins and Rev. Tommy Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adams Way Randleman, NC 27317. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The Goodman family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
