Ella Mae Bishop, our Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother, 86, of Radford, passed away Friday, March 14, 2008, at her home. A long time resident of the New River Valley, Ella also spent some time cruising around our great country and at one milestone in her life spent a great deal of her retirement in sunny Florida before returning to Radford. Waiting to greet her in Heaven were her husband, Jesse; daughter, Carrie Mae; and son, Gary. She was a dedicated daughter to her parents growing up, a loving wife for many years, a patient mother, and an adored and greatly loved grandmother. She is survived by one son and wife, Jim and Deb; a daughter-in-law, Scarlet; four grandchildren and spouses, Robin, Pam and Tim, Chris and Karen, and Karey and Dean; and five greatgrandchildren, Courtney, Justin, Kelsey, Mackenzie and Ella; those of which reside in Blacksburg, Radford, Greensboro, N.C., and Jacksonville, Fla. The family would like to acknowledge all family and friends who assisted Ella in her life journey.
