Elizabeth Lancaster Phillips, 84, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013. She was a member of Fairlawn Presbyterian Church and was retired from the business office at St. Alban's Hospital with 47 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Phillips, her parents, Benjamin H. and Rosetta S. Lancaster, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, Sherman Lilburn Phillips and his fiance, Melanie Klinepier of Burnsville, MN, and Thomas Daniel Phillips of Fort Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, Katherine and Michael Phillips of Apple Valley, MN; brother and sister-in-law, Ben H. and Ginger Lancaster of Gainsville, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be private with an informal celebration of her life on Sunday, June 2, at 3 pm in the fellowship hall at the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church or the Good Samaritan Hospice.
