Elizabeth "Libby" Roberts Loar, 98, of Fairlawn, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 leaving us with sweet loving memories of our Mother. She was a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church. Libby was preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Cynthia Roberts, and her husband, Derwood Stafford Loar. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry E. and Doris Loar of Morristown, Tenn.; daughter, Sandra Loar Graham of Woodbridge; grandchildren, Matthew Graham (fianc, Heidi) and Paige (Matt) Thacker; great grandchildren, Olivia Grace Thacker and Samantha Elizabeth Thacker; sister, Winifree Y. Lewis of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Fairlawn Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery in Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Friday evening at the church.
