Edwin Eugene Stike, 79, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at his home in Christiansburg. He was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from Burlington Industries. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Cox Stike; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Gina Stike, and Terry William and Treena Stike, all of Christiansburg, and Graelen and Deborah Stike of Hiwassee; grandchildren and their spouses, Natasha and Kevin Poston, Amber and Ryan Fithian, Haley Stike, Brittney Stike, John Stike, Ben Stike and Elizabeth Stike; and one great granddaughter, McKenzie Poston. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson and Rev. Kevin Poston officiating. Interment will follow in the Cox Family Cemetery in Pulaski County where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church. The Stike family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
