Edward Bert Gosnell, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his home in Dublin. He was retired from Volvo Trucks and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Dock and Daisy Gosnell. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara Turner Gosnell; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Jeff Marcus of Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, George and Leah Gosnell of Richmond; 5 grandchildren, Jeremy and Jenna Marcus, and Anthony, George Caleb and Brody Gosnell; brother and sister-in-law, Charles William and Betty Gosnell of Myrtle Beach, S. C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Howard Weaver of Dublin, Bonnie Elkins of Charleston, S. C., and Barbara and Totoa Wells of Dublin; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Dublin United Methodist Church. Memorial services will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Don Hanshew officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the DUMC Mission Team Fund or Back Pack Program or to the Blue Ridge Cancer Center.
