Edward Cornelius Fulmer, age 81, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026 at his home in Blacksburg, Virginia. Known as Sir Edward, Uncle Ed, Fast Eddie, or Peeps to his friends and family, he is remembered as a caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Born May 2,1945, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Eddie was one of six brothers born to Harry and Marguerite Fulmer of Nursery Lane. A 1963 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, Ed furthered his education at the University of Scranton.

Eddie was a talented musician and vocalist who played many Lancaster County area shows over the years. The Barons, a blues band, started with his close friends Michael Riley and Steve Krizin, became a community of friends and bandmates for over 40 years. He spent most of his professional career working as a house painter, beginning with House of Fulmer (formed with his brothers in the 1960s), then as an independent contractor for many years, and toward the end of his career, with Two Dudes Painting Company.

He was a prominent member of the Church of (Leonard) Cohen, an amateur philosopher, a composer of original music, and a very accomplished builder of dollhouses and miniature furniture.

Peeps was the absolute greatest grandfather to his nine adoring grandchildren. His playful spirit, big hugs, fruit salad, and acoustic lullabies will always be remembered and cherished.

He is survived by his brothers Jim and Donnie; his children Trina (Jack Murphy) and Eric (Erika); his former wife, Christine; and his eight living grandchildren: Alex (Noah Hill), Meredith (John Wrobel), Connor, Devon, Mason, Greyson, Ben, and Kate; as well as his extensive collection of natural dietary supplements.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; his three brothers: Harry, Jerry, and Billy; and by his beloved grandson, Nathaniel.

In honor of Ed’s treasured network of family and friends in both Pennsylvania and Virginia, two celebrations of his life are planned:

● The first gathering will be at the Karr Activity Center, 2603 Warm Hearth Drive, Blacksburg, VA on Saturday, August 29. Friends will be received beginning at 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM.

● The second celebration will take place at West Art, 816 Buchanan Avenue, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, September 12, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
