Edward Lee Farmer, 81, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a retired truck driver with VDOT. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn C. Farmer, his parents Robert Graham and Emiline Duncan Farmer, son Robert, stepsons Elton and Lee Collins, one sister and three brothers. Survivors include three sisters Mary Alger and Betty McPeak, both of Fairlawn, and Lillie Nester of Dublin; two brothers Vernon Farmer of Elbert, WV and Mack Farmer of Dublin; a grandson Matthew Price; two step grandchildren Brian and Kim; a step great granddaughter Ashley; and lots of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
