Edward Evans Cousins passed away December 26th at his home at the age of 77. Born in Washington DC in 1935 to Muriel Barley and Edward Evans Cousins Sr., he graduated from Martinsburg High School in West Virginia and learned the plumbing business from his father. Ed was a pilot and enjoyed scuba diving. As a young man, he played the trumpet in the Redskins Band and remained a lifelong Washington Redskins fan. Ed also learned to play the banjo and loved all types of music. A resident of Pulaski County for more than 30 years, most remember that he loved dogs and formed a special bond with an injured cocker spaniel he rescued from the side of the road. Ed opened and ran a hardware store in downtown Pulaski in the 1980's while continuing his plumbing, heating, and cooling business. He is survived by 4 children - Linda CousinsSeymour of Round Hill, VA; Sherry Redden of Poolesville, MD; Scott Cousins of Washington, NC, and Lindsay Leverette of Thomasville, GA. He had 4 grandchildren, Martha, Kaitlin, Mckie, and William Thomas. Services will be held at a later date.
