Edna Walker Allen, 88, of Dublin, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Alonzo Allen. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Alfonso Sr. and Norma Walker of New River; sister, Geraldine Walker of Aldan, PA; aunt, Frances Brockenbough of Pittsburgh, PA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Hope United Methodist Church in New River with Pastor Barbara Doyle officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The Allen family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
