Edith Altizer Vires, 79, of Riner, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021. She was retired from the Radford Army Ammunitions Plant. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Oakley Lonnie and Edna Teel Altizer; husband, Eddie Wayne Vires; and sons, Eddie Dewayne Vires and Michael Wayne Vires. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Eddie Azbell, and Kathy and Delane Carico; grandchildren, Tonya (Jessie) Hinkley, April Azbell, Kevin Azbell, Travis Vires, Carrie Vires, Audrey Vires, and Justin Carico; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gregory Harrell.
