Douglas Eugene Spence, 69, of Radford, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Harrison and Violet Phillips Spence; brothers, Alvin H. Spence and Leslie Spence; and sisters, Lois Spence Arnold, Ruby Spence Nichols and Marie Spence Lowe. Survivors include his son, Jonathan D. Spence and his wife Andrea of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Ember E. Spence and Quintin A. Spence; and brothers, Vestal B. Spence of Pulaski, Elwood C. Spence of Manassas, Roger D. Spence of Ky., and Sanford W. Spence of Radford. A memorial service will be held 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the New Life Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Christiansburg with Pastor Tom Peters officiating.
