Douglas Allen McCoy, 78 of Snowville, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007. Survivors include three daughters and son-in-law, Susan and Scott Smith of Snowville, Sheila McCoy of Lexington, NC and Sharon Williamson of Snowville; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Lori McCoy of Chester; two sisters, Juanita Sheppard of Dublin and Brenda Bishop of Archdale, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Nealy McCoy of Highland; seven grandchildren, Andy Weiss and his wife Paula of Fairlawn, Alisha Weiss of Pawleys Island, SC, Caleb Williamson of Snowville, Kayla and Becca Linkous of Lexington, and Katie and Grace McCoy of Chester; an aunt, Lucille Kline of Lewisburg, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. His children would like to thank Dr. Wynne and staff, Dr. Smuze, Deatta Compton and his hospice nurses, April and Ruth, for their care and compassion, and special thanks to neighbor Bobby Grubb for his rides to Owens Store to visit his friends. As per Mr. McCoys request, there will be no funeral. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Snowville vol. Fire Dept, 4855 Lead Mine Road, Snowville, VA 24347 or to the charity or church of your choice. The McCoy family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
