Dorothy Luckado Simpkins, 62, of Christiansburg, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011. She was preceded in death by her father, George Keith Pelkey. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth C. Simpkins of Christiansburg; daughter and special friend, April Simpkins and Caritha Jerry Byrd of Christiansburg; three sons, Keith Simpkins of Christiansburg and Brian and Kevin Pelkey, both of Hiwassee, and; her mother, Dorothy Helen Pelkey of Hiwassee; brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Katie Pelkey of Dublin; and a granddaughter, Taylor Ratcliffe. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 7 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will be at 11 am Monday, February 14, 2011 in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home. The Simpkins family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
