Dorothy Hedge Duncan Kirby, 92, of Dublin went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 15, 2012. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Robert Leeman Duncan and her second husband,John D. Kirby, Sr; her parents Jesse Wade and Fairy Bell Myers Hedge; three sisters, Sadie Richardson, Stella Wagoner, Edna Keffer; five brothers, Sherd Hedge, Clyde Hedge, Homer Hedge, Jesse James Hedge, and Charlie Mack Hedge. She is survived by two sons, Robert "Bob" Duncan and wife Suzanne of Varina, Virginia, and Michael Duncan and Debbie Jones of Charlottesville, Virginia; step-son, John Kirby, Jr. and wife Susan of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Laurie Anne Duncan, Jennifer Lynn Duncan, and Robert Andrew "Andy" Duncan; three step-grandchildren, John "Jay" Davis Kirby, Tyler Hamilton Kirby, and Jordan Kirby. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Stacey Cope officiating with internment at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m.at the Mullins Funeral Home. The Kirby family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
