Dora M. Stowers, 68 of Dublin, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009. She was born Oil City, Pennsylvania. She was a former employee of Hazelton Laboratories, The Loudon Times Mirror and Bookkeeper for Elmore Construction Co. for 25 years. Survivors include her husband John Stowers of Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, John and Lisa Stowers of Dublin; two grandsons, Everett and Jerry Smith of Fredrick, Maryland; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Judith Voorhies of Culpepper, VA; nephew, Jason Voorhies. Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lovettsville New Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Lovettsville, VA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lovettsville Lutheran Church Building Fund 12942 Lutheran Church Road Lovettsville, Virginia 220180. The Stowers family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
