Donald Gregory Semones age 55 of Radford, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 9, 2007 at his home. He was born July 2, 1952 and was preceded in death by his younger brother, Timothy Charles Semones. He was a US Army Veteran. Greg was a loving father and true friend. He was an avid fisherman and could often be found on the banks of the New and Little Rivers. Most often as the Mayor of Little River Dam, he would regularly hold court, cleaning the trash along the banks and giving fishing tips. Survivors include his mother, Martha Gerlene Semones Baker of Radford, daughter Emily Mae and son Gregory Harrison and their mother Judy Vranicar Semones of Great Mills, MD., his brother Randy Semones, wife Pam, and their family of Norfolk, step-sisters, Shelia Hamm, Sherry Tate, step-brother, Beau Baker, five nieces and two nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 13, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford, with the Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating. Interment will be private. The family requests that contributions be made to your favorite charity. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
