Donald Wayne Clary, 60, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, at his home in Dublin after his years-long battle with a progressive neurological disease. Don was born in September 1962 in Chase City, VA. He earned his bachelors degree in chemistry from Hampden-Sydney College and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, and he completed his residency at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in family medicine. He was a devoted, loving physician and a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Marie Barnes Clary; five children and their spouses: Jaime Barnes Graham and Jonathan, Robert Michael Barnes and LeAnn, Clayton Hollins Clary and Cassandra, Carolyn Elena Clary, and Donald Jacob Clary and Madeline; seven grandchildren: Blake, Kaitlyn, Cameron, Caleb, Annabelle, Elise, and Joy; four siblings and their spouses, Ronald Lee Clary, Jr., Thomas Ozlin Clary and Rhonda, Kenneth Eugene Clary and Amanda, and Carole Clary Griffin and Koy; as well as numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Lee Clary, Sr., and Carolyn Creedle Clary. No funeral or service will be held in honor of his wishes.
