Dona Esther Vires Henley, 93, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Radford. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Henley; and her parents, Monroe Issac and Mallie Lou Peak Vires. Survivors include her 3 daughters and their spouses, Mary Carper of Shawsville, Sylvia and John Harris of Parrott, and Shelby and Phillip Wingo of Pulaski; 2 sons and their spouses, Dallas and Margaret Henley of Fredricksburg, and Gary and Kaye Henley of Pulaski; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; a brother, Dan Vires of Collinsville; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Snyder. Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The family will receive friends from 5 until the time of the service. A graveside service will also take place on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the VA Dept. of Veteran Services, for beautification of the cemetery, 5550 Bagging Plant Rd., Dublin, VA 24084.
