Dewey Arnold Phillips, 81, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father Jehu Thomas Phillips, mother Maude Malicia Long Phillips, and his two wives Vivian Meadows Phillips and Joanne Cox Phillips. Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Gary K. Phillips (Gail) of Chesapeake; daughters and sons-in- law, Debbie P. Viers (Steve) of Radford and Sharon T. Kluge (Ken) of Goose Creek, SC; grandchildren, Kevin (Lauren) Phillips and Amy Phillips; great-grandson, Carson Phillips; a brother, Tom Phillips, a special friend, Trish Bugg; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws and friends. The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice as well as Deweys niece Dorothy Hall and her husband Jack for all of their help. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
