Damian Jerome Moede passed away in Roanoke, VA on March 22, 2017 after a brief illness. "Jerry" was born March 1, 1944 in Pulaski, VA, the firstborn of Jerome and O. Taveta (Staton) Moede. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and worked for many years at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. He is survived by five children, all of whom reside in Virginia: Renee Sargent, Jesse Moore, and James Moede of Radford, Woodrow Moore of Blacksburg, and Mary Moede of Christiansburg. His six siblings also survive him: Barbara Jo Moede of NY, Michael Moede of MI, David Moede of MD, Ann Inzinna of FL, Tom Moede of PA and Adonna Lee of IN. Jerry was a very sociable person who welcomed all strangers. He left us with many happy memories. A celebration of Jerry's life took place at a private graveside service at Sunrise Burial Park in Radford, VA on April 8, 2017.
