Connie Theresa Shelton, 67, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at her home in Dublin. She was a housekeeping supervisor at Virginia Tech. Connie was preceded in death by her father, Pilburn Deaner Shelton, brother, Stevie Shelton, stepfather, Whitlow Compton and former husband and special friend, Earnest Woody. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Angela Woody and Renee and J. D. Hair; sons, Sammy and Stevie Hungate; grandchildren, Austin, Kayla, Ciara and Shiane Hungate, Sloan Link and James and Josslyn Hair; mother, Frances Atkins Compton; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Bill Smith; brother, Ronnie Atkins; special son-in-law, J. R. Link; and special friends, Cindy Moser, Candy Akers and Alicia Umberto. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
