Connie Sowers Sale, 76, of Radford, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was a retired nurse. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Thomas and Ora Altizer Sowers; her husband, James Philip Sale; and her son, James Philip Sale II. Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia (Travis) Williams of Dobson, N.D., Amy Sale OBrien and Tony O'Brien of Radford, Sally (Garret) Miller of Floyd, and Samantha (Chris) Franklin of Roanoke; grandchildren, Zack (Chelsea) Sale, Lauren (Matt) Eller, Charleigh Williams, Hunter OBrien, and Nicolas Franklin; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Eli, Levi, Jackson, Felicity, Raelan, and Reagan (unborn); brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Virginia Sowers of Vinton; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Radford.
