Obituary

Clifton Bernice Shepheard, 82 of Radford, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008. He was a member of Bains Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church and a US Marine veteran having served during WWII. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #776 in Radford. He was an employee of Burlington Mills, Lynchburg Foundry and retired from RAAP. His last working days were spent making coffee each morning for everyone at Hardees. He was preceded in death on March 27, 2008 by a daughter-in-law, Audrey Shepheard. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Justine C. Shepheard; three sons and daughters-in-law Leroy Shepheard, Ronnie and Annie Shepheard, and Tony and Wanda Shepheard; a sister, Eula Franklin; six grandchildren and their spouses, Lynn and Tony Nardo, Leigh and Jamie Sorrells, Ginger and Bill Cullere, Leslie Shepheard, Scott and Amanda Shepheard, and Katie and Timmy Woodyard; and seven great-grandchildren Aaron, Cole, Collin, Meghan, Jacob, Sidney and Noah. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bains Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jerry Sloss and Rev. Phillip Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Pentecostal Conference Cemetery in Dublin where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to either the Beulah House, 4704 Caddell Lane, Dublin, VA 24084 or to the Carilion Hospice, 707 Randolph St., Suite 251, Radford, VA 24141. The Shepheard family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
