Obituary

Christina June Hatcher, 89 of Fairlawn, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born June 13, 1918 in Matoaka, WV to Oran Doan Epling and Laura Brady Wyatt Epling. She was an active member as one of Jehovahs Witnesses in Radford for 61 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years G. P. Hatcher and a sister, Nell Sexton. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Preston and Phyllis Williams Hatcher of Prince George, and Bobby R. and Sonja Simpkins Hatcher of Radford; three grandchildren and their spouses, Elizabeth and John Rhoads, Mark and Betsy Hatcher and Shawn and Karen Hatcher; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Teddy Epling. The family would like to thank her caregivers: Donna Wilson, Barbara Duncan, Maggie Minter, Maggie Vasudeva and Doris Viers. The family would also like to thank the doctors and staff of Heritage Hall and Montgomery Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Mr. Charles Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. The Hatcher family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
