Christin "Chris" Sutliff Peterson, 75, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at his home in Pulaski surrounded by his family. He was a U. S. Army veteran and was a retired vocational educator at Bland Correctional Facility. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Judyth L. Peterson; sons, Mark Peterson and David Peterson and his wife Tina; daughters, Leslie Peterson and Lisa Peterson; grandchildren, Ellie, Greta, Austin, Chase, and Tara Peterson and Kayla Goad; great granddaughter, Kaylee Goad; brothers, John, Jory and Leif Peterson; sisters, Lana Peterson and Carolyn Mallery; His right hand man Mr. Russ and beloved dog Shiloh; and numerous other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Carilion Hospice especially Venessa Coake, Debbie Jones and Dr. Smusz. Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Shiloh Cemetery in Pulaski County with Rev. Jonathan Webster and Pastor Gary Rorrer officiating. Members of American Legion Post #58 will conduct military graveside rites. Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to Carilion Hospice, 701 Randolph St., Suite 110, Radford, VA 24141.
