Charles Andrew Whitaker, 90, of Christiansburg, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020. He was retired from Inland Motors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Virginia Whitaker; son, Charles Robert Whitaker; one brother; three sisters; and stepdaughter, Charlene Moore. Survivors include his loving wife, Polly C. Whitaker; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Chip Basil, and Brenda and Tim Webb; stepson and his wife, Jimmy and Tracy Scott; grandchildren, Geoffrey Basil; Trevor Basil; Zachary Horton; Austin Horton and Maddie Semones; J.D. Scott and Laura Conway; Kelli Britt and Dustin Britt; Vincent Scott and Angela Capps; great grandchildren; Owen Basil; Avery Scott; Mariah Britt; Makenzie Britt; Dyson Jackson; Kaleb Scott; Kyleigh Scott and Kayson Scott; sister, Anna Lee Kirk; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Brent Strauf and Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg.
