Charles "Chuck" Clinton Thornton, Jr., 65, of Radford, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. He was a retired Lieutenant with the Montgomery County Sheriffs Department. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie, Sr. and Jourleen Thornton. Survivors include his loving wife, Marge Thornton; sons and daughter-in-law, Zach and Jamee Thornton, and Tristan Thornton; daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Dylan Duncan; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Carl Savage and Diana, and Wes Savage and Bethany; step daughter Anna Mason; grandchildren Calli, Chloe, Kendall, and Jackson; 7 step grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Susan Anderson, and Ginger and Gene McGuire; special dog, Marty; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Memorial services will begin at 11 am with Rev. David Trail officiating.
