Charles Richard Keister, 71, of Christiansburg, went home to be with the Lord, His Savior, Tuesday, April 9, 2013. He was a member of Fairlawn Church of God and a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. He was best known as "Charlie" at NAPA Auto Parts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Lewis and Allie Mae Alderman Keister, his wife, Henrietta Miles Keister, brother, Harvey Lewis Keister, and sister, Mary Keister Angle. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Alicia Keister and Marcus Harrison and the light of his life, granddaughter, Zoe Noelle Harrison, of Dublin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend Betty Creasy. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Fairlawn Church of God with Rev. Terry Bowden and Rev. Marcus Harrison officiating. Interment will be private at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 pm until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Fairlawn Church of God Building Fund, 7858 Peppers Ferry Blvd, Fairlawn, VA 24141. The Keister family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
