Charlene Shot Saunders Hottle, 62 of Dublin and formerly of Glen Allen, passed away peacefully following a brief illness on June 10, 2007 in Radford. She was the daughter of the late Charles Harry Saunders and Pauline Farris Saunders of Dublin. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward L. Hottle of Glen Allen and a brother, Charles Jay Bird Saunders, Jr. of Glen Daniels, WV. Charlene is survived by three sons and a daughter, Mark and Michelle Hottle of Mechanicsville, Steven and Susan of Bumpass, Mike and Alice of France and Wendy Hottle Haley of Southern Pines, NC. She will be missed by her grandchildren Cavan and Brandon Haley, and Jerod, Logan, Anna and Maceo Hottle. Those remaining to cherish her memory are a brother, Kenneth Smith of Dublin and one special brother, George Edmonds of Pulaski. She had a special bond with five sisters, Ada and Ed McCormack of Hoschton, GA, Kaye and Sam Phillips, Susie Saunders, and Becky Saunders Long, all of Dublin, and Darlene and Dr. Larry Ousley of Pulaski and Waynesville, NC; and sister-in-law, Sherry Saunders of Glen Daniels, WV. Very special friends of Charlene include Mike and Janet Brennend, Virginia Spraker, Lois Polito and Mildred Philips, all of Pulaski, and many great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. At her request she will be cremated by the Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford. A family celebration of her life will be held at her mothers home on Saturday, June 16, 2007. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Blue Ridge Cancer Care Center, 2400 Lee Highway, Pulaski, VA 24301, Carilion Cancer Center of NRV, 2400 Lamb Circle, Christiansburg, VA 24073 or to the charity of your choice.
