Celia Marasco Cole, 59 of Radford, was received by the Lord on the morning of February 7, 2008 at 9:25. Celia loved taking care of children which led her to a nursing career working with newborns. When she and Johnny started their own family she was the best mother two children could have. She enjoyed boating and swimming in the summer months. In the fall she enjoyed her time watching and keeping up with college football. She was a very talented and creative wife and mother and enjoyed decorating her home for the different seasons of the year. Celias greatest joy was serving her Lord and living her life for Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Lottie Austin Marasco. Survivors include her husband of 39 years Johnny Cole; daughter and son-in-law, Natasha and Rich Pappas; son and daughter-in-law Joshua and Nikki Cole; and four grandchildren McKenzie and Caroline Pappas and Shayna Wiswell and Jensyn Cole; and many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Radford with Rev. Gina Rhea and Rev. Chris Reisman officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the First Christian Church Relay for Life Team, 400 Tyler Ave., Radford, VA 24141.
