Catherine Mae Lewis Delaney, 92, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, N. C. She was a member of First Baptist Church on Rock Road. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Delaney; parents, Walter and Lillie Lewis; son, Terrance L. Delaney; infant daughter; brother, Walter Lewis; sisters, Ivory Booth and Carrie Brown; and grandson, Joseph "Joey" Delaney. Survivors include her sons, Joseph Lopez Delaney (Bonnie) of Jacksonville, N.C., and Anthony Delaney (Pam) of Radford; daughter-in-law, Kelly Delaney of Richmond; grandchildren, Toni Watson, Shannon Delaney, Brent "B.A." Delaney, Alex Delaney, and Trevor Delaney; 5 great grandchildren; three children that she considered her own, Bill, Miranda, and Bobby Keck; daughter she never had, Doris Dobbins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. in Highland Memory Gardens with grandson, Rev. Trevor Delaney officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to First Baptist Church on Rock Road.
