Millard Carlyle Roberts (Carlyle), 80, from the Walton Community, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. He was a member of Lighthouse Family Ministries. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae McGuire Roberts, parents, William Wint and Larma Mae Perkins Roberts, daughter, Tammy Roberts, grandson, Garrett McCoy, and brothers, James Harden, Willie B., Garnett Henry, Morris and Donald Roberts. Survivors include his seven children and their spouses, Donna and John Miller of Christiansburg, Audie and Kippy Roberts of Riner, Lisa Roberts of Christiansburg, Dennis Roberts of Floyd, Vickie and Greg McCoy of Radford, Sherrie and Jody Keith of Floyd, and Melanie Ratcliffe and her special friend, Kerrey Valle of Christiansburg; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to commend daughter Sherri Keith, Cheryl Walters, Eden Conner, Emma Quinn and New River Valley Medical Care Unit and Palliative Care Staff. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in the Hickman Cemetery in Pulaski County. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
