Obituary

Carl Randall Duncan, 66, of Radford, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 22, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was retired from Canteen Vending after 40 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Elodia Duncan. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Sharon Aker Duncan; two sons and special daughters-in-law Carl R. Duncan, Jr. Randy and wife Spring of Radford and Rev. Ronald W. Duncan and wife Lori of Christiansburg; four beautiful grandchildren Hallie, Micah, Jayden and Joey Duncan; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Arleen and Carl Thompson of Radford, Betty Ritter of Christiansburg, and Della and Clarence Boo Carroll of Radford; a brother and sister-in-law, Ira and Dale Duncan of Christiansburg; his mother-in-law Ruth Aker of Radford; an uncle and aunt, three brothers-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Many thanks to Blue Ridge Cancer Center, Carilion Hospice and the nurses at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Ronnie Duncan, Rev. Frankie Graham and Rev. James Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be appreciated or contributions may be made to the Childress Church of God Building Fund, 4187 Piney Woods Road, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
