Calvin Christopher Poe, 69, of Radford, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020. He was retired from Carilion St. Albans Psychiatric Hospital where he was a psychiatric tech. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Carl and Joyce Long Poe; and brothers, John and Vernon Poe. Survivors include his son, Calvin Poe, II. of Arlington; daughter, Morgan Poe of Radford; sisters, Glenna Poe and Mary Cox, both of Radford, and Kathy Nunn of Greenville, N. C.; brother, Allan Poe of Roanoke; pets, Tucker, Bella and Hershey; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Morgans Chapel United Methodist Church. Memorial services will begin at 3 p.m. with Pastor Ginny Tompkins and Pastor William Ratcliffe officiating. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
