Calvin Junior Hawkins, 95, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at his home in Radford. He was a WWII U. S. Army veteran and retired from RAAP with 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Hattie Hawkins; his wife, Pauline Hawkins; great grandson, Justin Adams; and daughter, Susan Margaret Hawkins. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary Hawkins of Dublin; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Howard Oaks of rural Retreat; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; special friend, Sonnie Adams; and many other relatives and friends. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, private graveside services will be held in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Radford VFW Post 776, 913 Second St., Radford, VA 24141.
