Brenda Iris Doyle of Radford, Virginia, passed away on Friday in Radford, VA. Brenda was born to Billie and Roland Doyle on April 12, in Christiansburg, VA. She graduated from Christiansburg High School in 1970 and received a Bachelor's Degree from Radford University. She was 60 and passed after a long illness. Brenda leaves a legacy of compassion and worked as a social worker and an emergency response counselor for the Giles County Child Protective Services. Brenda co-founded the "RAFT" crisis hotline, which still functions today and has served thousands of people in need in the New River Valley area. Brenda also successfully owned and operated five restaurants, the most famous of which was her "60s Caf" in Blacksburg, VA. Brenda's drive was eclipsed only by her love for her three children. Brenda rests peacefully now with her beloved pets (too many to name) knowing that she provided her family and friends with a lifetime of devotion and love. Brenda is preceded in death by her father Roland and survived by her mother Billie Accord Doyle; sister Lois Babb; brother Cecil Doyle; and sons Kris Hrones; Steven Phillips and Jonathan Phillips. Brenda's inurnment will be private, however, a celebration of Brenda's life will be held at Belspring Presbyterian Church on Belspring Road on Saturday, November 3, in Belspring, VA at 2 pm. The family will begin accepting friends one hour prior to the service at 1pm. The Doyle family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
