Bobby Joe Turner, 59, passed away on November 9, 2018 at his home in Floyd, VA. Born March 19, 1959 in Radford, VA., Bobby (aka Tha Hammer) grew up riding anything with wheels. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and exploring the open road. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved swimming and fishing and could be found on the banks of the New River anywhere from Giles to Floyd Counties and everywhere in between.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Helen "Pat" Harmon Hall and William O. Turner Sr. and survived by his son/pet/best friend of 15 years, Red; brother, William O. Turner Jr. (Spook), nephew, Matthew Turner (Southbound) and wife, Beth (Georgia Peach), nieces Meadow (Pearl), Ella (Pat), and Atlee (Little One), nieces, Jennifer Turner Warren of Charlottesville, VA and Jamie Turner of Radford , VA and currently serving in the Army overseas; sister, Patty Turner Simerly; nephew, Willie Moses and Family; niece, Angie Whitt and Family; and many close friends and Harley Riders.
The family will hold a private service Saturday, November 17, 2018 followed by a memorial motorcycle ride.
