Bobby Jean "Jimmy" Jewell, 78, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at her home in Radford. She was retired from AT&T. Jimmy was preceded in death by her husband and love of life, Jerry Allen Jewell; her son, Jeffrey Lynn Scott; grandson, Brandon Wallace Scott; parents, Harley and Violet McPeak; sisters, Mary Burleson and Louise Wilson; and brother, William "Frog" McPeak. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Carmen Jerry and Connie Scott of Radford; daughter, Karen Improta of Glenn Rock, Penn.; grandchildren, Chase Scott, Derik Scott, Vincent Improta, Michael Improta, Alyssa Improta, Jerry Improta and Victoria Scott; niece, Judy Thompson; nephew, Adam Bonds; very special niece, Sonja Hodge; special friends, Jerry and Linda Runyon; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Danny Newman officiating. Interment will follow in Oakvale Cemetery in Oakvale, W.Va. The Jewell family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
