Billy Joe Davis, 83, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at his home in Keen Mtn. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and he owned and operated Davis-Ashland Service Station for many years. Billy was born in West Virginia the son of the late William and Rebecca Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Christine Honaker, Phyllis Harrison and Betty June Baker Leslie. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betty Mullins Davis of Keen Mtn.; daughters and son-in-law, Karen Gail Horn of Richlands, and Sherry and Bobby Keene of Belfast; grandchildren, Jaimie Horn Hess of Cedar Bluff, Ritchie Horn and his wife Amy of Pounding Mill, Kelli Keene Hess and her husband Jason of Abingdon, and Kim Keene of Belfast; great grandchildren, Justin Hess, Ean and Easton Horn, and Kamdyn and Ashlyn Hess; brother-in-law, Darrell Mullins and his wife Michelle of Radford; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Mullins-Davis Cemetery on Compton Mountain with Arthur Mullins officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the Singleton Funeral Home in Cedar Bluff. Pallbearers will be Bobby Keene, Ritchie Horn, Jason Hess, Justin Hess, Ralph Short and Eli Mullins, with honorary pallbearers, Arthur and Maxine Mullins and Johnnie and Annie Profitt.
